Information for University Internship Advisors
Thank you for taking the time to consider Internship for Philanthropy and Humanitarian Development (IPHD) as a provider of internships for your students.
I understand that there are many things you will consider important when you assess an internship for recommendation. We would like to assure you that we take the utmost care for an intern’s safety and security. We are fully aware that some interns may not have left their home country before or encountered the challenges of living in a developing country. IPHD is a mentor to each intern and our orientation program is comprehensive. IPHD can also give assistance during the visa process or any other pre departure and in-country help required.
Our mission is to provide a complete and strong experiential education program for the intern. We have identified the core competencies for meaningful community development work and the intern is prepared and receives ongoing training based on these core competencies.
Towards the conclusion of an internship the intern writes a structured report about his/her project inputs and outputs. At the conclusion of an internship the intern receives a Certificate of Internship which gives an overview of the project they have worked on and what they have achieved.
